We’re getting an impression that the PRC is simultaneously pursuing two goals. The first one is to make the USA do something to settle the issue of its debts — which is vitally important for China to retrieve at least a part of the capital it invested into the USA — rather than merely talking about it. The second goal then — regardless, if the U.S. default will be called a «default» or given a finer nickname — is to shift the financial pole of the world towards China for few degrees at least.

On the memorable day of the 22^nd of June, Romanian President Traian Băsescu claimed that if he were fascist dictator Ion Antonescu in 1941, he would have also given an order: «Romanian soldiers, I order you to cross Prut». He specified what exactly would have roused him to that step: «We had an ally and we had to retrieve our own territory». Many countries have advanced much further Romanian in the matter of Russophobia. Bucharest, though, managed to do what occurred to no one before — to state that fascist attack at the USSR was a good deed and gladly claim an adherence to a hypothetic repeating of this historical event.

Let’s imagine the USA or France with Afro-Americans, Arabs or some other discriminated group instead of Russians. Had Tomusk repeated his literary exercise in the sponsor-state of an independent Estonia, he would’ve hardly got away with a mere public condemnation. State official would have not just lost his post, but went straight to prison, perhaps. However, Western ethic standards of international relations are seemingly not applied to Russians with all the following consequences.
