LOOKING THROUGH A LIST:
Let’s stop our eyes on some events from russian news
So what can be defined like a common reason in all
events mentioned above? Well, it is quite understandable. Russia ,
whatever it is like democracy, has some special attractivity
in geopolitical scene. And this attractivity is about cultural
reasons.
Event 1: on the 28th of June Muammar Kaddafi’s son
SeifulIslam (in English his name means "Safety of Islam",
in Arabic — "The Sword of Islam") had opened in Moscow the
"The Desert Isn’t Silent" Libyan art exhibition. Some amount of ancient
artifacts, contemporary paintings, modern views and traditional motives,
a piece of geopolitics and the USA Tripoli bombing memories.
A special thanks while the exhibition opening ceremony were passed
to Russian State Railroad Company, which drafts the Sirt — Benghazi
railway in Lybia "to provide the construction of modern
high-speed double-track railway line extending more than 550 kilometers with
a width of 1435 mm gauge, which will take place along the
Mediterranean coast and connects the major cities of Libya, and
in the future will be part of an international transport
corridor in the North of Africa. There are in project plans
to build 30 rail and 23 road overpasses, as well
as 6 major railway stations and 24 usual stations".
Event 2: on the 28th of June in the Ancient Russian Culture
and Arts Central Museum, in commemoration of the Year of Russian
spirit culture which goes on in Serbia, the ceremony
of Cancellation of the first joint Russian-Serbian postage stamps
took place.

The icons on the stamps tell us what is probably the main
Russian strategy in Serbia. If one will look through the web about
the kind of Russian-Serbian connections, in first place he’ll meet
religious, cultural and ethnic relationship, not economic ties and big lax
credits, provided to Serbia by Russia in the previous year. The
Serbian Orthodox identity, the "South Stream" gas pipeline and the partnership
with Turkey — that is like to be Russian key to new
Balkans. Serbs who are lead to "united Europe" through national
humiliation and the loss of historically and economically vital Kosovo
together with the sea-shore in Montenegro (Chernogoria) may have the only
chance to preserve their self-respect in a way of spiritual
sovereignty. And Russia is like to help them.
Event 3: on the 27th of June Russian Foreign Minister Sergey
Lavrov met in Moscow with his Mauritanian counterpart, Miss Naha Mint
Hamdi Ould Mouknass.

Most of words in official report were about terrorism, regional
cooperation and Israel, which is out of diplomatic ties with
Mauritania since this spring. Much more interesting information about Russian
and Turkish (Miss Naha came to Moscow after visiting Azerbaijan)
participation in Mauritanian rich gaz and oil fields exploration was put
under shadow. While new not really friendly to the West Mauritanian
government seems to be rather enthusiastic about finding somebody
else except China.
Event 4: on the 26th of June in St. Petersburg, at the
entrance to the Hermitage Museum, police dispersed an unauthorized
gay parade.

As all other Russian cities authorities, St. Petersburg ones always block
any try to make some gay street action legally. Such actions take place
without official permission some times a year, involving several dozens
of gay-activists. And police forces quickly move them out, saving from
intolerant aggression of gay-dislike groups. Gay-activists try
to blackmail authorities, declaring that they will have
a demonstration on the 2nd of August when Russian Military
Airborne veterans celebrate. Despite of bloody mess danger, Russian
municipal and state offices still are firm in traditional gender. Though
some foreign media would be glad to show something brutal from
Russia, where nothing comparable with mass social protests in Europe and
America takes place.
Event 5: considerable discussion continues in Russia around the
project of a Moscow Citizen Codex or a Code for Muscovites.
It has been prepared by Moscow officials and has to pass through
Moscow Duma — municipal legislative. The main context is about some
points of the document concerning ethics. Moscow declared
to be "the Russian city" which means some specific cultural
traditions every comer should respect. Dissonant acts and behavior can
be not only publicly criticized but also reacted and punished
by authorities and police. One can suppose that looking at the
Western multicultural boiler Russia tries to preserve it self from
some similar negative effects.
So what can be defined like a common reason in all events
mentioned above? Well, it is quite understandable. Russia , whatever
it is like democracy, has some special attractivity
in geopolitical scene. And this attractivity is about cultural
reasons.
