Considering the fact that the very attempt to carry out a fascist rally in Sevastopol is a priori destined to fail because of the striking contrast between the population sentiments and the ideology of the Ukrainian nationalists, this — obviously provocative — event was conducted under the enhanced protection of…the special units of the Ukrainian police from the very beginning. This case has once again revealed the double standard policy of the Ukrainian authorities. Each and every attempt of the public activists to organize any kind of the event that would consolidate the relationship between Sevastopol, Crimea or the Ukraine itself with Russia are met with a decisive rebuff of the administration.
